SUMMARY:Level 3 Outdoor First Aid
DESCRIPTION:The FAA Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid (RQF) qualification is ideal for outdoor leaders, instructors and employees who work in rural, remote or wilderness environments. Successful learners will be equipped with the vital knowledge and practical skills needed to take on the role of a First Aider when emergency medical assistance could be more than 30 minutes away. This nationally recognised course covers everything from managing catastrophic injuries and hypovolaemic shock to treating environmental conditions like extreme heat, cold and hypothermia. Specifically developed to meet the Outdoor First Aid Band 3 standards set by the Institute for Outdoor Learning, this regulated qualification also satisfies the expedition first aid syllabus requirements for the Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards.
