The woman behind
Wren Training
Hello from Wren Training.
I am Donna Wren and I attended my first ever First Aid course when I was 16 years old. I found it boring and not interactive. Things have changed a lot since then! I developed such a passion for the subject over the years. I was a trainer for Lancashire Ambulance service, before they amalgamated with Meryside and Cumbria to become NWAS. I used to train First Responders, I lead a couple of the groups and was instrumental in setting up others. 2006 I went to Spain and spent 3 years there with the Spanish Ambulance service. I also taught First Aid in Spain. When I returned home I wanted to carry on my passion for teaching and started off employed by training companies. I started my own company specialising in First Aid in 2011– Wren Training. In the time since I have added a larger range of courses and have taught thousands of people locally in the North West and abroad as far as Kosova!
At Wren Training we don’t just tell people what to do, send them off with a certificate and hope they understood. We actually TEACH First Aid. We update the course content regularly.
Courses are taught in a simple way without over complicating the subject but covering everything you need to know. We make the courses fun without taking away the seriousness of the subject. When you leave the first aid course you will have the skills which will give you the ability to hopefully save lives, not just a certificate to say you attended and therefore passed.
Discounts are applied for group bookings and if you cannot see a date that suits you please contact us to discuss.
We’d love to hear from you and see how we can help address all of your training needs.
